The high level of activity in the FTSE100 Directors’ Remuneration Reports world continued last week. A further 8 Reports were published, meaning we now have 36 FTSE100 DRRs.
The FTSE100 companies that published their DRRs in the week commencing 17 March 2014 were:
- AstraZeneca
- Anglo American
- BAE Systems
- Glencore Xstrata
- Intertek Group
- ITV
- Persimmon
- Weir Group
No doubt the latest DRRs will be testing the speed reading skills for those Remuneration Committees that have yet to send their Reports to print. This is particularly true given the length of many of the reports published so far, although the average DRR length last week was 21 pages, compared to the prior week’s 27 pages. Slightly lighter weekend reading! The average length of the 36 DRRs published so far is 23 pages, so not quite the short and snappy disclosures that were hoped for.
As mentioned in our blog post last Monday, almost half of the FTSE100 is a December year‑end company, so all of these DRRs will be released by the end of April. This will then leave the remaining quarter of the index a little more time to reflect on the published DRRs, the feedback from shareholders and representative bodies, and the AGM voting results before publishing their own Reports.
Our single source document is keeping track of the FTSE100 DRRs being released, and will detail this year’s voting results as the AGM season progresses.
